I Feel Pretty

This is my second attempt at using displacement maps. This is so better to me because I got to witness the realistic use of displacement maps. I was also pleased to learn about selection subtration, channels, the purpose of grayscale color modes, etc. In a related matter, who wants a hug?

Balloon Girl

This is a bonus for the Unbeliveable School project. This is a cartoon version of the idea of turning a human into a balloon. In case you can't see the text in the newspaper, the guy in the hat is wanted for $500 for using a magic pin to deflate people. But, even if you can't see all the details, you can definately tell from the guy's grin he is either liking what is happening or he is responsible for the incident. I think I done very well with this picture. I find it good to look at and it served as a great practice for drawing humans.

Balloon Man

I loved the idea of a human balloon and I especially liked the ocean ripple I used to simulate air coming out of the mouth. Although I thought I did a decent job with this picture, I did not feel like it was enough since I thought it was too simple, which was why I made "Balloon Girl" (above). I thought both pictures together were fantastic and deserve a good grade. I thought "Balloon Girl" was an excellent example of drawing humans. Next time, I will have to either try drawing cartoons more since it has become easier than reconfiguring a picture in abstract ways, find efficient ways to make abstract changes to other pictures, or I can try finding assignments involving other pictures that encourage more realistic changes. The most difficult part for making this picture was figuring out how I can make a human look like a balloon at all. I learned that picture editing with abstract elements can be a difficult thing to accomplish.
